NL Purchasing the View

Newman Living Apartments have purchased The View Apartments. As of October 31, 2025, Roers will no longer be managing The View. Management will be turned over to Newman Living.

1. Rent for November 2025 should still be paid to Roers (like you have previously been doing). They will collect all checks, etc. from the rent box. We have been notified that any rent or fees from November (or before), that have not been paid by November 15, 2025 will be sent to collections by Roers. If that will be an issue for you, you will have to contact someone at Roers directly to help you with your options. Newman Living staff are not able to help you with questions regarding your November rent.

2. Rent for December 2025 and after will be paid to Newman Living. After November 15th, we will provide you with instructions on how to set up payment online and automatic transfer payments.

Nothing will be changing with your current lease at The View. Newman Living will honor the lease terms signed by you and Roers for your apartment at The View. The same rules that applied when Roers owned the building will continue to be the rules for the remainder of your lease.

We are finalizing plans for what will happen after current leases expire in July. We will be transitioning The View into “faith-based housing” similar to current Newman Living apartments. However, how fast that transition occurs after July 31, 2026 and exactly what it will involve depends on many factors including how many current tenants of The View want to stay another year and renew their lease with Newman Living, as well as the supply and demand for additional faith-based housing near the Newman Center. We will notify residents of The View as soon as possible, once a plan has been finalized. The Property Manager at Newman Living will be reaching out to each tenant over the course of the winter to discuss if you are interested in renewing your lease at The View for another year.

Likely not. Although the details are still being worked out, The View Apartments name will likely be phased out as it transitions under the Newman Living Apartments umbrella. This is still being discussed as well. We will let everyone know once a decision has been made.
