Newman Living

The original Newman Living building is full for Fall 2026. However, you can still submit an application to get your name added to the waitlist or to be considered for any opening in January 2027.

All Leases are for a 12-month period.

Newman Living is available to any student (age 25 or younger) enrolled in post-secondary education (university, college, tech school, etc.) in the Fargo-Moorhead area. 

Newman Living is somewhat between a dorm and a regular apartment. Students rent a private bedroom and share the kitchen, living room, and other common spaces with 2 or 3 roommates. Students can stay in their apartment year-round (including holiday breaks and over the summer).
If you have people you would like to have as roommates, please make note of that on your application. However, each person should complete their own separate application for housing.

Newman Living is a beautiful five-story, 23-unit apartment building located at the corner of 12th Avenue N. and University Drive, right across from NDSU's iconic entrance gate. It has the capacity to house eighty-two students in three and four-bedroom apartments. All apartments are fully furnished, have in-unit laundry, a full-size kitchen, individual private bedrooms, and access to surface and underground parking spaces (for an additional cost). Newman Living residents will have access to student lounges, the Newman Center library, and a fully-equipped fitness studio. They will also have 24-hour access to the main Newman Center chapel for prayer whenever their heart calls.
