Advancement Officer
The Advancement Officer will increase the school’s capacity for fundraising major gifts and serve as an ambassador for the St. John Paul II Catholic Schools. Successful candidate will work closely with the President and the Advancement Director and be an integral part of the Advancement Team. The position is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gifts and planned gift prospects, including new prospective donors. This person will be familiar with Catholic teaching, structure and procedures with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. This position is responsible for the effective organization and operation of the financial affairs of St. Joseph Church, St. Joseph School/St. Mary Academy, and St. Joseph Closet (thrift store). Duties include the management of the financial health of the parish and its institutions such as budget, contributions, reports and analysis, fiscal year end reporting, payroll, employee benefits, taxes and payable/receivables. Candidate must have strong organizational, communication, critical thinking, and computer skills: previous accounting experience is preferred.
