Housing Information

• October/November: Applications open for the following school year.
• November/December: Staff determine how many openings will be available for the following school year.
• December/January: Interviews are conducted with potential residents.
• January/February: Notices sent to students and leases signed.
  • Schedule is subject to change.

Newman Living: Any student (age 25 or younger) enrolled in postsecondary education (university, college, tech school, etc.) in the Fargo-Moorhead area can apply to live at Newman Living. 

1. Apply: Complete an application making sure to include a photo of your government issued identification. Applications open in the fall for the following school year.
2. Interview: We require all applicants to have a brief interview with the Property Manager. Don't worry, this is just an opportunity for us to get to know you, and make sure that Newman Living is the right fit for you! The Property Manager will contact you to set up an interview time and location. Interviews begin several months after applications open.
3. Sign a Lease: Once you have completed the interview and have been accepted, you will be invited to sign a lease. Leases are signed on a first-come, first-serve basis and lock in your housing for the period stated on your lease.

Newman Living is somewhat between a dorm and a regular apartment. Students rent a private bedroom and share the kitchen, living room, and other common spaces with roommates.

• $575 per person/per month, for a regular room
• $525 per person/per month, for a room in Men's or Women's Halls (after receiving a $150 per month scholarship)

• $600 to $2500 per month
• Can be rented by the bedroom or whole apartment

• $775 to $3200 per month
• Can be rented by the bedroom or whole townhome

• Surface parking is $250 for the year (very limited, currently a waitlist)
• Underground parking is $75 to $100 per month (also limited, first come first served)
